New to St. Christopher’s?
St. Christopher’s is a compassionate community that welcomes all in worship, fellowship and service to God. Our shared experience of Christ’s love transcends simple togetherness and creates a personal sense of belonging.
Parking – Close to the entrance, we saved a “spot” for you. Our designated visitor parking is easy and convenient for those new to our worship, elderly guests, or those with small children. Upon entering from the parking lot, there are beautiful signs directing you to the different areas of our church.
Nursery – A precious place where we care for the youngest among us, the Nursery is open to children at least 6 weeks who need a safe place to play during worship. Care is provided during the 10:00 AM Sunday services.
Christian Formation (Sunday School) – Between our two services, at 9:10 AM, we have our Christian Formation hour. Adults meet in the Parish Hall to discuss everything from current events to book studies. After the 10:00 am service, children participate in Lego Bible Study on the lawn outside or in the Guild Room. (right near the Garden.)
Rite I & II – Our Rite I service at 8:00 AM is a more contemplative and quiet service that uses traditional language (thee, thy, thou). At 10:00 AM, we have our Rite II service, a contemporary language service with organ, piano, choir, acolytes and a children’s sermon before the sermon. Each of the services follows the Book of Common Prayer and The Hymnal, and includes Holy Communion.
Fellowship – Following our 8am service we have Fellowship in Latham Hall. Coffee and donuts are available to you while you visit with those who came to worship. Following the 10:00 am service we have Fellowship on the lawn outside or in the Guild Room. This time is a great opportunity to meet new people and get to know more about our each other and the ministries of St. Christopher’s.
Y’all Come Back Now – After the service, grab a Guest Bag and please fill out a visitor card! Leaving us your name and contact information ensures that you will receive invitations and notifications about upcoming events at St. Christopher’s. One of our Greeters will also be available to answer any questions you may have or call 713-465-6015.
