New to St. Christopher's?

At St. Christopher's Episcopal Church...

we want to make your Sunday morning a special one!

From parking to coffee, our friendly ushers and parishioners are here to help.

Our Purpose

St. Christopher's is a compassionate community that welcomes all in worship, fellowship and service to God.  Our shared experience of Christ's love transcends simple togetherness and creates a personal sense of belonging.

Parking – Close to the entrance, we saved a "spot" for you. Our designated visitor parking is easy and convenient for those new to our worship, elderly guests, or those with small children. Upon entering from the parking lot, there are beautiful signs directing you to the different areas of our church.

Nursery – A precious place where we care for the youngest among us, the Nursery is open to children at least 6 weeks who need a safe place to play during worship. Care is provided during both the 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM Sunday services.

Christian Formation (Sunday School) – Between our two services, at 9:15 AM, we have our Christian Formation hour. Adults meet in the Parish Hall to discuss everything from current events using "The Wired Word" to book studies, most recently reading The Gospel of Mark by Marcus Borg. Children and Youth classes meet in the Christian Education Wing and teach Christian values and morals in a fun, easy and scripture-based way.

Rite I & II – Our Rite I service at 8:00 AM is a more contemplative and quiet service that uses traditional language (thee, thy, thou).  At 10:30 AM, we have our Rite II service, a contemporary language service with organ, piano, choir and acolytes.  Each of the services follows the Book of Common Prayer  and The Hymnal, and includes Holy Communion.

Fellowship – Following our Christian Formation hour and our 10:30 AM service, we have Fellowship in the Parish Hall. Coffee and donuts are available to you while you visit with those who came to worship. This time is a great opportunity to meet new people and get to know more about our each other and the ministries of St. Christopher's.

Y'all Come Back Now – After the service, grab a Guest Bag and please fill out a visitor card! Leaving us your name and contact information ensures that you will receive invitations and notifications about upcoming events at St. Christopher's. One of our Greeters will also be available to answer any questions you may have or contact Christina Swidrak, our Membership Coordinator, or call at 713-465-6015.
